Claiming lets you correct anything on your page and keep your service times current. What you tell us outranks every other source and is never overwritten by an automated check. It is free, and it stays free.
Claiming isn’t open yet
The verification flow — an emailed code to the address published on your church’s own site — is still being built. We’d rather not open claiming than open it without a way to check that the person claiming a congregation actually belongs to it.
In the meantime, email hello@churchesnearme.app from your church’s address with the name and town, and we’ll correct your listing by hand and flag it for claiming the day it opens.
What claiming will let you do
- Correct the name, address, phone, and website.
- Set and update your service times, including seasonal changes.
- Confirm your denomination and regional body.
- Add languages, accessibility, and what a visitor should expect.
How verification will work
We’ll email a code to an address published on your congregation’s own website. An address on your church’s own domain verifies immediately. A free email address published on your site still works — small congregations overwhelmingly use one — it just goes to a person for review rather than clearing automatically.
